Abstract
This thesis discusses the Christian Right in a contemporary context. Its central question is: Forty years after the Christian Right was first noticed, does there still exist a coherent Christian conservative movement with representative organizations or leaders? Using opposition to President Obama's "Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act" as a case study, the current status of the Christian Right and the broader American conservative movement is discussed.
