Spatially Homogeneous Universes

Abstract

This thesis contains a detailed investigation of the effect of assuming spatial homogeneity on the macroscopic behaviour of cosmological models for our universe. We also discuss Killing vector fields, Lie groups, and spatially homogeneous and isotropic cosmological models.
