Abstract

The story of the Children of Lir has often been adapted for children in the 19th, 20th and 21th centuries. How did the tale evolve from throughout the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries in terms of narrative, themes and motifs, and can this evolution be explained by looking at the cultural environment of these times?
