Eendracht Maakt Macht. De Implementatie van de ICA-principes door Nederlandse Coöperaties, 1844-1999

Abstract

In this thesis cooperatives are analysed to the implementation and interpretation of the ICA-principles. These principles are based on the principles formulated in 1844 by the first modern cooperative, the Rochdale Society of Equitable Pioneers. During the 20th century, these principles have been evaluated and altered by the International Co-operative Alliance (ICA), the international organisation representing cooperatives worldwide. Two Dutch cooperatives are analysed according to these changes, on the implementation and interpretation of the principles in their statutes.
