Abstract
This paper uses EU electricity price forecasting data to explore the impact of the introduction of CFDs on enhancing the financial viability and investment incentives of renewable energy in the EU. Explore the effects of different designs of CfD contracts, and design a CfD design that can both stabilise price fluctuations and preserve market signals.
