Abstract

A comparison between Nabokov's "Lolita" and the 1997 film adaptation by Adrian Lyne: the difference in representation of Humbert Humbert and consequently his relationship with Lolita in both works is looked into, as well as how this affects the morality as presented in the novel and film. The latter is then tied to its effect on the reader/spectator.
