Abstract
In this thesis we discuss the evolution of language in a finite population by considering
a mathematical framework based on game theory and evolutionary dynamics. In particular, we show that in a finite population there exist languages that are evolutionary stable. For this, we make use of the so-called Language Game, which is a doubly symmetric sender-receiver game.
