Abstract
A study of the development of presidential post-cataclysm rhetoric and framing when relating the (post-)9/11 rhetoric of George W. Bush to the rhetoric of Franklin D. Roosevelt following Pearl Harbor. Various academic concepts, methods of framing and American myths are used to guide this study.
