Abstract
This study looked at the occurrence of “poor outcome (death, complications or ICU stay > 72 hours)” as a primary outcome. The street drugs are compared to non-street drugs and there was a comparison between the different toxidrome groups of street drugs. The results of the logistic regression show a two times lower chance of “poor outcome” for the street drugs when compared to non-street drug exposures. Within the street drugs, sympathomimetics have a 14 times higher chance of poor outcome then other street drug toxidrome groups.
