Abstract

Researchers have for a long time been trying to pinpoint the reasons for the differences between regions that are excelling in economic development and excelling in restructuring their economy through new business start‐ups, and regions that are still lagging behind because of a lack of beneficial entrepreneurship. This thesis has tried to find a cause for this difference by focusing on an institutional approach with a focus on entrepreneurial role models.
