The effect of diet in relationship with fetal number in late pregancy on vitality of lambs, in Texelaar sheep on Texel, the Netherlands

Transabdominal echography is a good way to get information about the fetal number of pregnant sheep.

Feeding due to the fetal number, seems to have effect on the conditionscore of the ewes pregnant from three lambs. It seems to have effect on birth weight of lambs of ewes pregnant of one fetus.
