Abstract
In this master’s thesis, different predictors of medical appointment attendance of HIV patients in rural South Africa are measured by existing quantitative data. The following predictors where significant: caregiver trust, gender and age. Health literacy is a partial mediator between caregiver trust and medical appointment attendance.
