Abstract
The healthcare sector in the Netherlands is facing a shortage of nursing staff with hospitals, in particular, struggling to retain nurses. There is a need for recently graduated nurses to provide high-quality care and filling the shortages in the workforce. However, research has indicated that retaining nurses poses a challenge, as a significant number expressed intentions to leave the profession within the first few years of employment.
