Abstract

Scrum provides a framework for project management that has become very popular over the past few years in the context of software development. However, Scrum has many gaps and holes in which practitioners are free to adjust the framework to their individual needs or apply best practices. This study investigates what common practices are in agile requirements engineering and defines a maturity matrix that can be used to assess Scrum teams. The maturity model is developed based on a case study and validated using interviews and focus groups in order to assess teams and guide toward good agile RE practices.
